And my big curly hair and being Afro-Latina was kind of a shock that I didn't realize would be for some people, once I moved to a place where there weren't a lot people that look like me.

Leslie was always singing and dancing from a young age. The landmark made her the youngest female artist to do so. She would go on to receive two more nominations at the celebrated awards ceremony.

Thankfully they did! Leslie already has some experience mentoring other up-and-coming artists too. Love my teamgrace! After working with Maluma on the song "Aire," she joined him on his city tour in Mexico. Her bachata-infused hit singles and collaborations have earned her chart success as well as several Latin Grammy nominations.

Her self-titled album peaked at numbers two and three on the Tropical Albums and Top Latin Albums lists, respectively. Though she actually started singing at the age of two, it was in grade school that she began performing in musicals and competing in talent shows.

She also sang in the church choir. While still in middle school in , she recorded and released an independent Christian music album, Pasion , in partnership with CD Baby. It topped both the Tropical Songs and Latin Airplay charts, making her the youngest female ever artist to do so. Grace toured abroad for the first time playing the North Sea Jazz Festival, and also toured major cities in the U.

The pair toured Mexico in support. Grace kicked off with the single "Duro y Suave" in collaboration with Noriel ; it placed inside the Top 30 at Latin Pop.
